In October 2022, Serafino participated in Milan Jewelry Week, a major industry event that attracts international buyers and collectors to one of the world’s capitals of fashion, design, and luxury.
Top jewelers exhibited their creations. Attendees discovered experimental art jewelry made from alternative materials, such as paper or cement, and high-end creations in various jewels and precious metals.
Our “Acque Stellate” necklace and “Il Ciclo dell’Acqua” earrings were part of the juried FAB exhibit located in the prestigious 16th century “Palazzo dei Giureconsulti,” just a stone’s throw from Milan Cathedral. Here, our work excited admiration and compliments from jewelry enthusiasts and trade experts alike.
During the four-day show, artists as well as visitors attended an array of networking activities and conferences. Experts presented info sessions on raw material sourcing, marketing, jewelry design and much more.
Bangkok-based jewelry artist Alessio Boschi spoke about his renowned Harem’s Garden necklace, dedicated to Iranian women. Bruto Pomodoro spoke about his father, the celebrated sculptor Gio Pomodoro. And Dr. Vincenzo Aucella, president of Assocoral, the society of coral artisans in Torre Del Greco, spoke about the coral industry native to this small town near Naples famous for its red coral since the 15th century.
Our founder Antonio Serafino, his sons Lorenzo and Jona, and Alessandro, our marketing director, traveled to Milan for this inspiring event. They returned home rich with ideas for new projects. We are now developing these projects and will reveal them to you in the near future.
